you've got this.

It takes me more than a second to pop my Prozac each day. About an hour, usually.
Certainly not as convenient, but I feel okay about it.
It's not a pill, it's a movement.
It's sweating. It's showing up. It's looking at myself, even when I don't want to. It's saying, "You've got this."
I work out the parts of myself that will allow it.
I don't get as much done in the day - my summer wardrobe sits messily piled amidst winter clothes, and other areas of my home wouldn't say no to a little TLC. But as I strive to achieve balance, I settle lovingly somewhere in my own middle place. I move toward eating healthily, and I make decisions to keep my promises to myself.
I keep my practices of meditation, writing, and Pilates active, teaching and participating in equal parts. A strong core, a strong mind, and a strong desire to serve through love equate, for me, to a strong everything else. It is a life practice that is, in effect, balance. Reaching inside to the deepest layers of inner being, we construct from the core of outward, creating a foundation that will serve as loving, solid ground. Thus begins the day, and the accumulation of these days comes together to create what we will come to know as a pretty AMAZING life.
